The Rolls Royce Sweptail, a one-off car custom built for a loyal customer, is set to be the most expensive new car ever sold. Current estimates suggest it is priced at $12.8 million.
The buyer has kept a low profile, but Rolls Royce released a press statement saying that the customer is a "connoisseur and collector of distinctive, one-off items including super-yachts and private aircraft".
It's clear that whoever they are, they've got a lot of money!
The unique car is styled on the Rolls-Royces of the 1920's and 1930's, it has an elegant sweeping rear, hence the name, Sweptail.
Unlike the standard cars, it has an entirely glass roof and a crystal statue at the front of the hood.
Instead of the modern backseats, the buyer has opted for a coach-style rack for carrying luggage or passengers who might risk it without a seatbelt.
